Dr. Chen was invited for an interview by CNA to introduce the novel technology of bacteriophages and share their potential applications in food safety and quality control. During the interview, he explained how phages work, why they are attracting renewed attention in the fight against antimicrobial resistance, and how they could be used across the food supply chain to keep food safe and fresh.

Our group member Foo Wei Han presented a poster at the International Summit on Sustainable Protein (ISSP) 2025, showcasing his project titled "Extraction, characterization, and functional application of GRAS microalgae-derived proteins and peptides". We also extend our warmest congratulations to him for successfully passing his Qualifying Exam, an important milestone in his PhD journey.

Our group had a wonderful gathering to celebrate Christmas and the upcoming New Year 2025! It was a great time to relax and communicate while looking forward to an exciting year ahead.

Dr. Chen was invited to give a talk at the "Distinguished NUS FoS Alumni Speech" in celebration of the 95th anniversary of FoS at NUS on July 12th. He shared his research and life experiences in FST, NUS, and interacted with the current PhD and MSc students from the FoS.
